Turkish Citizenship by Investment

According to the latest updates, from the Presidency Cabinet Meeting held on 12 April 2022, it has been decided that a new regulation be entered into force regarding Turkish Citizenship acquisition by real estate investment. The amount required to become a Turkish citizen by investment is changed from $250.000 to $400.000. Namely, foreign investors who plan to buy a property in Turkey and get Turkish citizenship through that investment will pay at least $400.000 for the acquisition. However, the amendment will not affect the foreigners who have already submitted their applications to the Citizenship Affairs of Turkey. The amendment is expected to be implemented right after the publication in the Official Gazette.
